AnodyneŽ Therapy
AnodyneŽ Therapy is administered whenever there is nerve damage that results from poor blood flow to nerves in the feet, legs and hands. When your daily lifestyle is limited because of pain or numbness, AnodyneŽ Therapy can help restore your independence and improve your quality of life.
The treatment is administered three times a week by placing credit-card sized pads directly on skin wherever a nerve malfunction exists. The pads release infrared light that stimulates nerves and enables nitric oxide, a natural pain killer, to be released more easily into the body. Treatments sessions last 30 to 45 minutes, during which time you may feel a warm, relaxing sensation while resting in a comfortable chair. The pads are then removed and you may be required to do some light stretching and balancing exercises. Our health care professionals may massage the area on which the AnodyneŽ Therapy pads were placed and use other therapeutic modalities for pain management.
The AnodyneŽ Therapy System usually involves 10 to 18 therapy sessions. While many patients will feel results quickly in this comprehensive program, others may take longer based on their degree of impairment.

Continuing the AnodyneŽ Therapy System
Once 10 to 12 AnodyneŽ Therapy treatments are completed, results can last up to six months. However, diabetes and most other causes of peripheral neuropathy are often chronic conditions. Our health care professionals recommend home exercises to help you continue to improve functionality.
After the first therapy session, you can choose to have weekly treatments or buy your own AnodyneŽ Therapy Home System to maintain and continue to improve circulation in your extremities and to provide temporary pain relief.
Medicare or your private insurance may cover the AnodyneŽ Therapy Home System with your doctor's prescription.
